Reclamation District No. 1000’s mission is flood protection for the Natomas Basin providing for the public’s health and safety by operating and maintaining the levees, and the District’s canals and pump stations in a safe, efficient and responsible manner.

Reclamation District No. 1000 has been providing flood protection and public safety to residents, businesses, schools, and agriculture since 1911. The District is governed by a seven-member Board of Trustees elected by the property owners within the Natomas Basin. Non-emergency scheduled Board and Committee Meetings are required to be posted 72 hours prior to the meeting.
