Assessments are used to fund the day-to-day maintenance of the levees, pump stations, small capital projects, and first response activity during a flood emergency for those who reside within the boundaries of RD1000. The stormwater fee supports the District’s interior storm drain system consisting of channels, drains, pipes, and pumps which redistribute excess water across the system and ongoing support for operations and maintenance of the District’s drainage system. This fee will be applied to properties that receive RD1000 stormwater services. Property assessments and the stormwater fee are collected by the local property taxing authority, the Sacramento County Tax Collector, and the Sutter County Tax Collector.
